About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team within our Physician Offices. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing patient care and supporting healthcare providers. You will be the key link between patients, their families, and our medical team, ensuring a smooth and effective healthcare experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and various office procedures.
Organize and schedule diagnostic tests, surgical procedures, and pre-admission evaluations.
Conduct initial response screenings in accordance with medical protocols.
Carry out a range of clinical tests and procedures, including CLIA-waived tests, electrocardiograms, respiratory assessments, and both venipuncture and capillary puncture for blood draws.
Prepare and give oral and injectable medications (excluding IVs) and immunizations as directed by physicians, according to state regulations.
Administer injections to patients when needed.
Facilitate prescription calls to pharmacies based on physician instructions.
Act as a communication bridge between physicians, patients, and their families.
Uphold Standard Precautions to maintain health and safety standards, including infection control protocols.
Collect and properly process various medical specimens.
Maintain examination and treatment rooms, including oversight of medical supplies and equipment inventory.
Identify and respond effectively to medical emergencies.
Record patient information, including medical history and vital signs, and prepare patients for examinations or treatments.
Ensure thorough documentation of patient interactions and clinical treatments, including medication and immunization records.
Assemble and provide patient information packets.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or an equivalent credential is required.
Certified Medical Assistant designation (CMA or RMA) is required within six months of employment.
Qualifying for certification necessitates a minimum of one year of supervised clinical experience within the last three years or completion of a relevant health training program in the past five years.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is essential.
Familiarity with laboratory techniques and clinical practices is necessary.
Sound understanding of pharmacology and competence in medication administration.
Knowledge of administrative practices, patient interaction, and medical ethics is required.
Understanding of coding and reimbursement processes, including ICD and CPT, is vital.
Ability to analyze clinical data and apply critical thinking skills in decision-making.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Ideal Candidate Profile: We are looking for a Certified Medical Assistant with a minimum of two years of experience in a physician office setting. The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to patient care.
