Job description

Location: A city in Michigan located in the Downriver area of Metro Detroit along the Detroit River. This city is known for its historic charm, waterfront views, and strong sense of community. Facility: A 360-bed acute care hospital that offers a full range of clinical services, including general medicine, surgery, a birthing center, a Primary Stroke Center, and 24-hour emergency care. Opportunity: Looking for an OB Hospitalist to fill their need! June 15 – ongoing until perm is hired No weekends or call! In house shifts on the L&D floor Specific days/shifts needed: Every Monday 7a-5:30 p + Every Wednesday 5:30a-5:30a and Tuesday/month, 1st Friday/month, 3rd Friday/month; 7a-5:30p Program is a Laborist program ("doc in the box") 24/7 covers L&D and OB Triage and occasionally has to go to ER for some female related GYN issues. OB/GYN residents there 24/7 but no APP coverage Would be responsible for supervising residents - no exceptions Private practice deliveries on that unit Level 3 NICU staffed by neonatologists and APP 27 beds + triage and OR in addition to those. 400 c-sections per year Will do elective inductions but not commonly Must be comfortable with c-sections; emergency DNC, DNE 24 hour anesthesia that covers OB Recently developed dry epidural program Don't do a lot of high risk Compensation: Competitive weekly pay and malpractice included.
