JOB DESCRIPTION

A hospital in Staten Island, New York, that has an opening for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide ongoing locum Cardiothoracic Surgery coverage.

About the Opening:

Schedule: 6:30a-7p
No call required
Patient Volume: 10 per day
Will serve as the first assist
Vein harvesting required
Support Staff: APPs Monday-Friday, MDs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses

QUALIFICATIONS

Current DEA registration
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant from an accredited institution.
Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York
Board certification
Minimum of two years of clinical experience in cardiothoracic surgery
Strong proficiency in diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
Be highly collaborative, and enjoy leading care teams with a patient-centric orientation
Confident in his/her ability to deliver high quality primary care, which includes being available to patients and addressing their medical and social needs
