Locum Tenens Neurosurgery Opportunity in North Carolina

Job description

Join a respected hospital system in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, offering an excellent opportunity for a board-certified (or board-eligible) neurosurgeon to provide critical care and elective surgical support in a high-acuity environment.

Position Highlights:
• Start Date: June 15, 2025
• Commitment: Minimum 2 weeks/month
• Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Call: 1 in 6 for Neurosurgery, 1 in 3 for Interventional Radiology (IR)
• Patient Focus: Adults only
• Primary Procedures:
o Cranial Neurosurgery
o Endovascular Interventions for Acute Stroke
• Support Available: Dedicated Neurocritical Care team in-house
• EMR: Epic

Ideal Candidate:
• Board Certified or Eligible in Neurosurgery
• Experience in both cranial neurosurgery and stroke intervention preferred
• Open to new grads with BC status and Endovascular certification
• Licensed in North Carolina (or willing to obtain)

Additional Information:
• This is not a trauma center, which allows a focus on neurological and vascular conditions without general trauma surgery coverage
• Travel (flight, hotel, car rental, or mileage) is covered
• Credentialing timeline is approximately 90 days, with potential for expedited temp privileges for qualified providers
