Medical Director Needed in Mishawaka Indiana
Job description
Reports to: Executive Director
Role: Provides general medical direction and supervision of participant care, including clinical outcomes and Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops and maintains medical policies, procedures, and protocols.
Directly supervises Primary Care Providers (PCPs) and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
Provides leadership to program colleagues and community providers.
Conducts history and physical examinations, develops medical treatment plans, and provides services across participant locations.
Evaluates program applicants and caregivers.
Collaborates on nursing treatment programs.
Actively participates in the interdisciplinary team, advising on diagnoses and treatment options.
Performs physical examinations, orders and evaluates diagnostic tests.
Educates participants and families on health maintenance.
Participates in provider on-call rotation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Minimum 1 year experience working with frail or elderly populations.
Effective skills in physical assessment and chronic disease management for older adults.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Requires a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation for periodic regional travel.
Excellent organizational, customer service, flexibility, and problem-solving skills.
Desire to work in a creative alternative healthcare setting.
Ability to manage changing priorities.

COMPESATIONS AND BENEFITS:
Salary range: $231,000 - $280,000 depending upon experience

REQUIREMENTS
Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine - REQUIRED
Board Certified in Geriatrics (Fellowship-trained) or Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatric Medicine (to be completed prior to start) - HIGHLY PREFERRED
IN license (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
Clean Malpractice - HIGHLY PREFERRED
CDS Certification (by time of start) - REQUIRED
DEA Verbal Confirmation (by time of start) - REQUIRED
BLS (by time of start) - REQUIRED
Minimum of 1 year experience working with the frail or elderly population ( - REQUIRED
Previous supervisory experience - REQUIRED
Does the provider require visa support - J1 or H1B? - REQUIRED
