Job description

Aya Locums is seeking a Physician Assistant for a 6-month contract in Northwest Washington. This assignment combines urgent care and primary care responsibilities in an outpatient clinic setting. With structured scheduling and low patient volumes for urgent care, this is an excellent opportunity for experienced PAs seeking a balanced practice.

Assignment Details
• Specialty: Urgent Care & Primary Care (must be comfortable with both)
• Start date: November 2025 or ASAP
• Contract length: 6 months
• Schedule: Average 34 hours/week
– Weekdays: 10-hour shifts
– Weekends: 9-hour shifts
– Wednesdays: Half day
• Structure: Scheduled appointments only

Case Mix / Work Details
• Outpatient urgent care and primary care
• Patients per day: 18–22
• Ages: Pediatrics through geriatrics
• Procedures: Suturing, digital blocks, vaccinations, splinting, wart/cyst/mole removal, other standard urgent care procedures
• Support staff: Medical Assistants and office staff
• Staffing: Mostly solo coverage, occasional double coverage

Practice Model
• Outpatient clinic environment
• Mix of urgent care and primary care visits

Requirements
• Education: Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies
• Certification: NCCPA required
• License: Active Washington license required
• DEA: Required
• Preferred certifications: ACLS
• Minimum experience: 2 years; may consider 1 year for permanent candidates
