Specialty: APP – Critical Care (ICU)
Start Date: January 5, 2026 (Credentialing 100–120 days)
Coverage: Scheduled, No Call
Shift: Night | 13-hour shifts (7p–8a)
Location: Roanoke, VA

Facility Details

12-Bed ICU with cross-coverage of the PCU

EMR: Epic

Travel covered (airfare, lodging, rental car)

Will consider licensing candidates, but preference for Virginia-licensed providers

Job Details

Provide primary management for immediate postop ICU patients, including thoracic surgery

Write progress notes and direct patient care in the ICU/PCU

Option to perform lines if desired (intubations handled by Anesthesiology)

Must have LVAD + ECMO experience

Flexible schedule: 3-on / 7-on block options

Requirements

Experience: Cardiac surgery/critical care specific (not pulmonary/surgical critical care only)

License: Active VA license preferred (will look at licensing candidates)

Board Certification: Required

Certifications: BLS, ACLS required
