Start Date: January 2026
Coverage Type: Inpatient & Outpatient | 7a–5p
Contract Length: Indefinite (2–3 weeks per month)

✅ Flexible Coverage: 2–3 weeks/month on-site | Will consider TeleGI for PM shifts
✅ Busy Pediatric GI Practice: 12–15 outpatients daily, 5 inpatients, plus procedures (EGD/Colo)
✅ Strong Support Staff: RN, CMA, nutritionists, psychologist, and Pediatric Care Navigation Program

Position Details

Schedule: 7a–5p, 2–3 weeks per month | Starting January 2026

Setting: Inpatient + Outpatient | EPIC EMR

Patient Population: Pediatric only

Procedures/Skills: Scopes (EGD/Colo)

Support Staff: 1 RN primary nurse, CMA (rooming), 2 nutritionists, psychologist, Pediatric Care Navigation Program

Department Growth: Expanding in 2026 to include 1 FT Peds GI, 1 FT pediatrician (GI access/lower acuity), and 1 PT Peds GI for inpatient/call

Requirements

Board Certified in Gastroenterology

Active Tennessee license (IMLC accepted, must be active)

Certifications: BLS required; PALS preferred

DEA (TN/VA) required

Minimum 2 years’ experience

Clean background required

Credentialing timeframe: ~90 days
