📍 Location: Inpatient Rehab Unit (18-bed), 2nd Floor, Acute Care Hospital
📅 Contract Dates:

Primary Coverage Dates:

Thursday, Nov 27 – Sunday, Nov 30, 2025

Friday, Dec 19, 2025 – Thursday, Jan 1, 2026

Contract Length: 3 Months (with ongoing opportunities)

🔍 Position Overview

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Physiatrist for a 3-month contract at our 18-bed inpatient rehab unit. The ideal candidate will have inpatient rehab experience, be comfortable managing an adult patient population, and capable of leading interdisciplinary team meetings.

🏥 Work Details

Practice Setting: Inpatient Acute Rehab Unit, housed within an acute care hospital

Shift: 7 days a week coverage | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Rounding Hours: Typically 8:00 AM – 3:00/4:00 PM

Patient Volume: Average 10–12; Maximum 18 (varies with census)

Patient Population: Adult only

EMR System: Epic

Support Staff Includes:

Nursing

Intake Team

Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech Language Pathology (SLP)

Specialty Consults as needed

📋 Responsibilities

Round on inpatients Monday through Friday

Admit patients to the rehab unit

Lead interdisciplinary Team Conference Meetings

Complete all required documentation including:

H&P

4-Day Plan of Care

Team Conference Notes

Progress Notes (Change in Status, 3x/week)

Discharge Summaries

✅ Requirements

MD or DO with Physiatry (PM&R) training

Board certified/eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

Experience with inpatient rehab strongly preferred

Familiarity with EPIC EMR

November 27–30, 2025

December 19, 2025 – January 1, 2026

Additional days may be arranged based on availability and fit
