Job description

Location: Community hospital in southern California/metro LA area. Martin Luther King JR Hospital.
Start Date: March 2026
Length of Contract: 26 weeks/ Ongoing need until permanent staff is hired.
Coverage needed: Weekdays and weekends. Saturday – Sunday, one 12 hour person for nights needed for each day of the week.
***They need 7 shifts/week covered. So we could utilize one 3 12s CRNA and one 4 12s CRNA, blocked shifts. Or two 2 12s people, and one 3 12s. but it needs to equal this coverage.
Patient Population: Very sick. Mostly ASA 3s and above. Underserved population that doesn’t have regular access to preventative care. Primarily Spanish-speaking. All Adults. No peds.
Case types: OB is a MUST. C-sections and epidurals. No hearts or transplants. GI, Neurology, GYN, IR. ‘Heavy’ Bread and Butter.
Supervision Model: Care team model. They work with a physician partner 1:1. Only one CRNA on at a time. Lots of more independent work versus heavy medical supervision.
Requirements: 2 years as a requirement. Strong in OB. Must be comfortable with their own preops and workups of their own patients.
Cases per day: Variable for nights. OB is the primary function at this facility. Can be very busy or slow. Average may be 2-3 epidurals/day and a C-section. 5-6 cases per shift.
Scheduling model: Scheduling committee agrees to a schedule 1. 5 months ahead of time. Happy to keep shifts consecutive.
Willing to license? CA licensed only
EMR system: Cerner
