Pediatric Pulmonologist | Locums Opportunity | West Virginia

Job description

A leading regional medical center in Charleston, WV is seeking a Board-Certified Pediatric Pulmonologist to provide locum coverage starting January 2026. This is a rewarding role serving children and young adults through both outpatient and inpatient care within a collaborative and well-supported pediatric specialty team.

Assignment Highlights:
• Start Date: January 2026
• Schedule: Monday–Friday (AM/PM clinic)
• Coverage: Outpatient pediatric pulmonary clinic with inpatient consults as needed
• Call: Home call when primary pulmonologist is off
• Duration: Ongoing, flexible commitment (approximately two weeks per month)
• Location: Charleston, West Virginia

Clinical Details:
• Average of 20 clinic patients per day
• Patient population: Birth through age 21
• Supported by Medical Assistants, RT, Social Worker, CF Nurse/Coordinator, and Dietician
• Procedures: Pulmonary function testing (PFTs, spirometry) and bronchoscopies
• EMR: Cerner

Requirements:
• Board Certified in Pediatric Pulmonology and General Pediatrics
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• West Virginia license (open to licensing assistance)
• Prior experience reading full PFTs/spirometry and performing bronchoscopies preferred
