Pulmonologist – Locum Tenens | Black Lung Clinic | Virginia
Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Pulmonologist to provide coverage in a Black Lung Clinic in Virginia. This role offers a predictable weekday schedule, a supportive team environment, and the chance to make a lasting impact on patients affected by occupational lung disease.
Coverage Details
Shifts: Daily 8a–6p, Monday through Friday
Frequency: 1–2 weeks per month
Call: No required night call, but consult coverage assistance is appreciated
Weekend Coverage: Not required
Work Details
Primary Focus: Outpatient Black Lung Clinic
Patient Volume: 5–10 patients per day
Patient Population: Varying age groups
Support Staff: Respiratory Therapists and a dedicated Black Lung team
EMR Systems: Epic and DOL
Requirements
Board Certification: Required (Pulmonary Disease)
License: Active Virginia license (no willingness to license)
Certifications: BLS and ACLS required
DEA: Required
Vaccinations: Influenza and MMR mandatory
Additional Screening: Must be name clear and provide NPI number
Credentialing
Timeframe: 90–120 days
