AZ CRNA – OR/OB Float & Call
Job description
Position Highlights
Daily model: 6 CRNAs/day in OR (Mon–Fri)
OB float during the day + primary call at night → post-call day off
Secondary night call (no post-call day off)
Potential integration of night shift coverage: one provider works 11 p.m.–7 a.m., Mon–Fri, in house (flexible providers desired)
Annual case volume ~6,500
Typical case mix: General Surgery, Orthopedics, OB/GYN (including TOCALS/VBACs)
~473 deliveries/year, ~220 C‐sections/year
Additional: ENT, Podiatry, Urology, Plastics, Radiology, Vascular, Healthy Pediatrics 1+ (mostly ENT)
Regional anesthesia: Proficiency required in epidurals, spinals, ultrasound‐guided blocks
Occasional blocks: PECS, Serratus Plane, Erector Spinae, TAP, Cervical Plexus
EMR: Cerner
Responsibilities
Provide anesthesia care across multiple specialties in the OR
Float to OB during the day and provide night call coverage as scheduled
Participate in primary and secondary call rotations, including potential night shift integration
Perform regional anesthesia (epidural, spinal, ultrasound‐guided) as required
Collaborate with surgeons, obstetricians, anesthesiologists, perioperative team members
Document care in Cerner and ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory and quality standards
Requirements
Valid CRNA licensure and certification
Prior experience in a hospital OR setting, including OB/GYN cases
Strong competence in regional anesthesia techniques (epidural, spinal, ultrasound‐guided blocks)
Comfortable with call responsibilities and flexible scheduling including potential night shift coverage
Excellent communication, teamwork, adaptability
