Peds Critial Care APP Needed in Los Angeles

Assignment Details

Start Date: June
Duration: 30 weeks (8–9 months coverage)
Location: Large teaching hospital in Los Angeles, CA
Reason for Coverage: Provider on extended leave of absence

Schedule:

* Night shifts
* 2–3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts)
* Includes weekends and holidays

Role & Responsibilities:

* Provide coverage for the **PICU, Stepdown PICU, and PICU DOU**
* Serve as a key overnight provider
* Responsible for independent coverage of the DOU (NP-run unit with no fellows or residents)
* Collaborate with PICU attending, fellow, and resident in a shared care model

Patient Volume:

* PICU: 16 beds
* DOU (Stepdown PICU): 8 beds
* APP serves as primary provider for up to 8 patients per shift

Requirements:

* Minimum 2 years of experience in a large Children’s Hospital PICU (Level I preferred)
* Active California license with furnishing number (no licensing support available)
* Board Certified in Acute Care
* Certifications: BLS, ACLS
* DEA required

Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 7–8 weeks
