APP – Pediatric Critical Care (PA or NP)
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Start Date: As soon as credentialed ~ 7-8 weeks
Contract Length: 30 weeks (ongoing contract)

Schedule
Night shift only
2–3 overnight shifts per week
Shift: 7:00p–7:00a
Includes weekends and holidays
No call responsibilities

Practice Details
Pediatric ICU and step-down critical care coverage
Large academic medical center environment
Scope includes PICU, PICU step-down, and pediatric observation unit
APP serves as primary overnight provider with attending support
Teaching hospital setting
EMR: Epic

Clinical Scope
Overnight management of critically ill pediatric patients
Primary APP coverage for pediatric critical care units overnight
Evaluate, manage, and coordinate care with PICU attending team
Cross-cover step-down and observation pediatric critical care units
Assist with admissions, overnight events, and clinical decision-making
Document all care in EMR

Requirements
NP or PA accepted
• NP: Acute Care certification required
• PA: Eligible for California licensure
Active or eligible California license
Board certified
DEA required
BLS and ACLS required
Minimum 2 years recent PICU experience in a large children’s hospital
Strong independent overnight critical care experience required
Epic experience required

Credentialing
Approx. 7–8 week credentialing timeline
