Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia Assistant (CAA) – Locum Tenens Opportunity in DC

Assignment Overview

Start Date: ASAP following ~90-day credentialing

Contract Length: 3–6 months

Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week + weekend call

Hours may vary based on patient load (can end as early as 3:30pm or extend to ~6:30pm)

EMR: Cerner

Clinical Scope

Provide anesthesia support for pediatric cardiac patients

Pediatric experience required; congenital cardiac and cardiac anesthesia experience preferred

Collaborate directly with anesthesiologists and surgical teams during high-acuity cardiac cases

Participate in perioperative care including induction, maintenance, and emergence for complex pediatric patients

Exposure to congenital cardiac conditions, neonatal cases, and other high-complexity pediatric cardiac procedures

Requirements

Active DC license required (priority to candidates already licensed)

PALS certification required

Minimum experience: 3+ years preferred; pediatric-focused candidates with less may be considered

Willing to obtain state licensure if needed
