Anesthesiology
Specialty: Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant
Start Date: July (there is a little flexibility here)
Contract Length: 6 months, no shorter (option to extend for an additional 3 months. Also, a perm conversion option) They’re recruiting full time help.
Shift Details: Mix of shifts (8s, 10s, 12,s, 16s) for a guaranteed 40hrs per week.
Schedule: Mon-Fri, also Saturdays are elective days from 6:30a-3:30pm
Call: 1 weeknight and 1 weekend per month (Saturday call: 3:30p-7a, Sunday call: 7a-7a) ( Working on getting the rates for this, please let me know if there are rates that you are accustomed to for call and we can discuss)
Work Details:
· Support staff: A group of 5 full-time anesthesiologists and a number of CRNAs. Supervision is 1:4
· Amount of coverage needed per month: Full time
· Patients per day: 2-10 cases per day, depending on the shift length. This will vary.
· Patient population/age: 16yrs+
· Department description: 12 OR's, including Cath Lab. Service Lines include: Orthopedics, Gen Surgery (including robotic/minimally invasive cases), Neuro, GI Endoscopy and Electrophysiology & Structural Cardiology.
· EMR: Cerner for general charting, but anesthesia documentation is done on paper.
· Hospital bed size: 306
· Trauma Level: Level II Trauma
· Skills required: Cases: Lots of bread and butter and some specialty cardiology/neurosurgery/neuro interventional procedures. The ortho is mostly “bread and butter,” including joint replacements. There is no expectation to do blocks or handle post-op care, the MDs take care of that. It would be nice if they are comfortable doing spinals, but it is not a deal breaker if not.
Practice Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital
Requirements:
· Board Certification: Must be Nationally Certified
· License required: License not required, works under the anesthesiologist supervision
· Certifications required: CAA Certification, ACLS, BLS
Credentialing Timeframe: up to 30 Days
