CRNA Independent Locums- Alaska | 6 Weeks On / 3 Weeks Off Rotation

We’re working with a hospital in a remote Alaskan community that offers a rare opportunity to practice independently in a highly respected CRNA-only model. With stunning surroundings and a flexible block schedule (6 weeks on / 3 weeks off), this assignment offers the best of both clinical impact and lifestyle freedom.

Position Highlights:
Location: Alaska
Start Date: September 29, 2025
Schedule: 4-day workweeks (10-hour shifts) with 2 weeks of 24/7 home call per 9-week rotation
Call: Home call with 30-min callback time, avg. 10 hrs/week
Support: Back-up CRNA is generally available

Practice Setting:
- Critical access facility with 2 ORs and a procedure suite
- 25+ bed hospital with Level IV Trauma ED
- Full-time caseload averages ~30 cases/week
- Cases include general surgery, ENT, ortho, OB/GYN, endoscopy, and light peds
- OB volume: ~8 deliveries/month, 70% epidural rate
- No cardiac or chronic pain cases

Clinical Details:
- Independent CRNA model – no MDA oversight
- Nerve blocks
- CRNAs assist with codes, intubations, sedation for ED procedures
- Required certs: BLS, ACLS, PALS
- DEA not required
- Emergency credentialing may be possible

Optional Add-On:
We also have availability at a nearby outpatient procedure suite (no call, no intubations, 10-hour sedation-only shifts). Preference given to providers with AK licensure, or open to obtaining it.
