Anesthesiology needed in Durango, CO area hospital float pool August 4-6th only!!

Aya Locums is seeking an Anesthesiologist to cover a float of hospitals in the Durango, CO area from August 4-8th.

***$750/day bonus to the provider covering at the site this week.
Model Type: CRNAs and MDs in their own rooms, CRNAs practicing independently but MDs available if needed.
Typical Daily Model, but sometimes has an extra provider for PRN:
-1-2 MDs
-4-5 CRNAs
-+7th PRN provider some days

Daily Sites: 6 anesthesia sites Mon-Thursday; 5 anesthesia sites Friday, occasional extra provider

Weeknight Call: starts at 5PM -- Typically around once per week

Weekend Call: 7 am Saturday – 7 am Monday

Case Types: ~7,000 cases per year – NO OB ;; Mostly ophthalmology ~2000, ENT ~600, Gen ortho ~1200 – joint replacements, spines; Also general, urology, GYN, ped dental ~100, cosmetics, podiatry

Required Experience: lower extremity, brachial plexus blocks, peds (very small % of cases are peds but need to be comfortable), peripheral nerve catheters

Types of Peds: tonsils/adenoids, ear tubes, some septos for broken noses, some arms surgery for reconstruction or broken bones. Will also be dental.

Less than one year of age is evaluated by anesthesia case by case except ear tubes.

Age range: 6 months+ but typically age range 3+

Acuity: Low acuity. Any peds with a syndrome being managed by a specialist is going to be sent for an anesthesia review for approval.
