Key Responsibilities
Pre-Anesthesia Assessment:

Evaluate patients’ medical histories, allergies, and physical conditions to determine appropriate anesthetic plans.

Perform preoperative teaching and obtain informed consent regarding anesthesia procedures.

Anesthesia Administration:

Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia and monitor patients during procedures.

Adjust anesthetic levels as necessary to maintain patient safety and comfort.

Intraoperative Monitoring:

Monitor patients’ vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygenation, etc.) and respond to emergencies as needed.

Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety.

Post-Anesthesia Care:

Oversee patients’ recovery from anesthesia and manage any anesthesia-related complications.

Provide post-anesthesia instructions and pain management plans.

Other Duties:

Maintain accurate anesthesia records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to maintain certification.
