Locums CRNA Opportunity in Iowa Offering $250/hr +Malpractice covered +Mileage + 8's

Job description

Coverage: Ongoing sporadic coverage
Case Types: Primarily cataract patients with other minor procedures
Schedule: Guaranteed 8-hour days; schedule may vary
Call: No call responsibilities; all surgeries are scheduled
EMR: EPIC system — providers required to complete a 4-5 hour training class (compensated)
Work Environment: Independent practice with provider or surgeon present
Surgical Volume:
Cataracts: 11 to 15 cases per day
Other procedures: 3 to 4 cases per day
No Pain Management Cases
Trauma Level: 4
Annual ER Volume: Approx. 5,000 visits
OR Staff: Surgical techs, RNs, providers, and surgeons
Operating Rooms: 2 ORs staffed with surgical techs, RNs, and other CRNAs
Surgeons:
One does total hips and knees
One does scopes
One does cataracts
One does scopes and minor surgeries
Required Experience & Skills:
Experience with general adult and pediatric surgery
Minor nerve blocks, IV regional anesthesia, spinal anesthesia, regional anesthesia
Ventilation management and local infiltration
Spinal anesthesia for total knees
Familiarity with cataracts, colonoscopies, EGDs, carpal tunnel, and other minor procedures
Ability to work independently
Providers within driving distance preferred due to individual shifts
Credentials & Licenses Required:
NBCRNA certification
Active IA license
BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
COVID vaccine
