Independent CRNA Needed in Western North Carolina

A community hospital in Western North Carolina is seeking an experienced CRNA for an ongoing locum tenens assignment.

The weekday schedule includes a mixture of 8-, 10-, and 12-hour in-house shifts from Monday through Friday. Call is required and includes weekday beeper call from approximately 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and 24-hour weekend coverage.

CRNAs generally participate in a one-in-four call rotation as either the primary or secondary provider. When covering call, the CRNA will function independently without an anesthesiologist physically supervising the cases. Primary call has a frequent callback rate, primarily for add-on procedures and overnight epidural placements.

The case mix includes general surgery, obstetrics, orthopedics, and endoscopy. Candidates must provide case logs demonstrating recent regional anesthesia and obstetric proficiency.

During regular hours, the hospital uses a care-team model with approximately one anesthesiologist for every three CRNAs. Cerner and AIMS are used for documentation.

Candidates must have at least two years of experience and an active North Carolina license or applicable compact eligibility. Credentialing generally takes 60–90 days, with temporary privileges potentially available for candidates with clean files.
