CRNA Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage in Central Texas
Job description
A hospital in Central Texas is seeking a CRNA for an eight-week locum tenens assignment with the possibility of an extension. The provider must be available to begin as soon as credentialed.
Available scheduling options include 12-hour day shifts and 8-, 10- or 12-hour weeknight and weekend shifts. The facility can guarantee a 50-hour workweek when overtime begins after 50 hours. Call is not required.
The case mix includes general surgery, obstetrics, neurology and orthopedics. Recent OB proficiency is required. Candidates must have performed obstetric anesthesia within the past two years and must be able to provide supporting case logs and professional references.
The hospital has five anesthesia rooms and operates under an anesthesiologist-supervised model with approximately four CRNAs to one physician. Physicians also perform their own cases. The facility uses iPro for electronic documentation.
An active Texas license is required. Credentialing is expected to take approximately 60 days.
