CRNA Needed for Ongoing Locum Tenens Coverage in South Texas

Job description

A healthcare organization in South Texas is seeking a CRNA for an ongoing locum tenens assignment. The client will consider an initial three-month commitment and may schedule qualified providers for six to nine months.

The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., totaling approximately 40 hours per week. The client may consider providers available from one to four weeks per month, with two weeks per month being acceptable.

Home call is required approximately one week per month with a 30-minute response time. Rare elective Saturday cases may occur. Holiday and weekend call responsibilities are rotated among the anesthesia team.

Cases include general surgery, gastroenterology and endoscopy, healthy pediatric dental procedures, obstetrics and central-line placement. OB proficiency is required. The average volume is approximately 10–15 cases per day, with many cases involving gastroenterology procedures.

The facility operates under a care-team model with approximately one anesthesiologist to three CRNAs. Depending on experience and clinical proficiency, the CRNA may function with a high level of autonomy while additional support remains available.

New graduates may be considered. An active Texas license is required. Temporary privileges may be available, and credentialing may be completed in approximately 30 days for candidates with a clean file.

Competitive all-inclusive compensation is available.

  • Monday–Friday daytime schedule
  • New graduates may be considered
  • Credentialing possible in approximately 30 days
