Schedule & Availability

(4) 10-hour shifts per week OR 3x12s

Weekend availability (Saturdays/Sundays) preferred

Consistent weekly coverage required (no week-on/week-off rotations)


Practice Setting

Level 1 Trauma Center | 600-bed hospital

Inpatient & outpatient GI coverage

Epic EMR

Large anesthesia department: 60 CRNAs, 70 attendings, 60 residents


Coverage across:

33 ORs in main OR

16 offsite anesthesia locations

12 outpatient surgery ORs

3–4 stand-alone GI rooms


Patient Population

Ages 13 through end of life

ASA 3+ patients common


Skills & Case Mix

Required: GI anesthesia experience, medical direction

Excluded: Open heart/thoracic, peds, obstetrics, peripheral nerve blocks


Requirements

Board Certification: Required

Virginia License: Required

DEA: Not required

Vaccines: COVID + Flu (no exemptions)

Experience: 2+ years, preferably academic or trauma center background. Candidates with recent inpatient experience strongly preferred. Outpatient-only considered. Level 1 academic facility experience highly valued.
