Anesthesiologist Needed in Fredericksburg, VA

I have a client in Fredericksburg, VA who's seeking an experienced Anesthesiologist for locum coverage. Here are the job details.

Start: March

26-week assignment with the option to extend

5, Day (10 Hours) 7:00 - 17:00

Mon-Fri 50 hrs/wk - 40 hrs GTD, but need to be able to flex up to 50 hrs

Weekend availability a plus

Minimum 2-3 weeks per month

**Must obtain AHA Certifications***
***VA license at time of submittal***

Practice Model is Medical Direction with Anesthesiologist ratio being 1:3 CRNAs always practice under an Anesthesiologist
CRNA scope of practice has limited regional authority with Spinals and Epidurals being the only regionals authorized. There is no auth to do blocks for CRNAs. CRNAs have general scope of practice privileges only. MDs should be able to do blocks. Not a deal breaker if they do not (supraclavicular, popliteal etc)

Anesthesiologist must be willing to do their own cases solo if requested. (deal breaker if they are unwilling to do solo cases)
Floating between facilities

Weekend availability a plus
They do open hearts, organ harvest, (no transplants) healthy pediatrics, ortho, thoracic, OB, endo traumas

Staffed 24 hrs a day. With night shift and weekend calls being 12 hr blocks. (7a-7p and 7p-7a)
1 MDA in house, 1 MDA cardiac on call every day. 2 CRNAs in house with 1 CRNA on back up call 7 days a week. 1 additional CRNA back up Endo call weekend only. 1 Cardiac CRNA on call 7 days a week.

Ambulatory Surgery Center
Outpatient surgery center located adjacent to MWH main hospital.
M-F no weekends
6 ORs
Healthy peds (dental, ENT etc) Ortho, bread and butter cases
MDs must be able to do blocks at this site.
Fast turn around cases.
2 MDs and 6 CRNAs is the staffing

Stafford Hospital -8 miles north of Mary Washington hospital.
Not a trauma center, smaller intimate hospital
1 OB
1 Endo
6 ORs
Heavy OB case here.
All critical cases moved down to MWH.

Staffing is 2 MDs 6 CRNA 24 hr coverage in house 1 MDA 2 CRNAs. No back up call

Providers will be credentialed for ALL three sites regardless of where they work.

90-120 day credentialing timeframe
