Job description

Aya Locums is seeking an experienced CRNA to support a high-acuity hospital system in Virginia. This long-term assignment offers flexible scheduling, exposure to a Level 1 trauma environment, and the opportunity to work across multiple sites within a large, collaborative anesthesia care team.

Assignment Details
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• Contract Length: 12 months
• Schedule: Standard day shifts; 8s, 10s, or 12s accepted
• Shift Example: 4-day shifts at 10 hours (8:00–18:00)
• Minimum Commitment: 1 day per week
• On-Call: Optional but must be open to call (anticipated ~2x/month; beeper call)

Work Details
• Environment: Fast-paced Level 1 trauma center
• Support Model: Fully supervised; care team ratio 1:4
• Procedures:
o Yes: Neuro, large vascular, high-risk OB/GYN, ortho, thoracic, general surgery
o Performed by CRNAs: Administer own drugs; epidurals; spinals; arterial lines
o Some: Obstetrics, trauma (mostly outpatient surgery), arterial catheters, lumbar epidurals, spinal anesthesia
o Never: Brachial plexus blocks or regional blocks
o Not Required: Pediatrics or hearts
• Patients per Day: Varies by site

Requirements
• License: Active VA license preferred; will accept expired license or one issuing within 72 hours
• Board Certification: Required (grandfathered accepted)
• Experience: Level 1 trauma experience required
• DEA: Not required
