Job Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) – Locum Tenens
Location: Newport News, VA
Duration: 12 weeks
Schedule:
Standard schedule
Day shift required
Primary shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Additional shift options available: 8‑, 10‑, 12‑, and 24‑hour shifts

24‑hour shifts limited to OB coverage


Overtime not expected but may be offered
Holiday shifts and holiday call preferred

On-Call Requirements: No Call
Board Certification Required: Yes (NBCRNA)
Setting: Acute Care Hospital
Patient Population: Adults
EMR: Epic
Support Staff:

MD supervision model
MD‑to‑CRNA ratio: 1:4
10 anesthesia rooms
MDs may perform their own cases (rare MD solo cases)

Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 30 days

Procedures Include:
General anesthesia
Neuro
Orthopedics
OB
Urology
GYN
Ophthalmology
Endoscopy
Pre‑anesthesia assessments
Patient consent verification
Anesthetic induction, maintenance, and emergence
Continuous physiologic monitoring and clinical intervention as needed
