Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist Opportunity – Alaska

Job description

Assignment Overview:

Provide anesthesia for surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures

Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and post-anesthesia care

Maintain anesthesia at appropriate levels and manage airway and vital functions

Perform and manage regional anesthetic blocks

Supervise CRNAs and participate in departmental policy and quality improvement initiatives

Option to serve as Anesthesia Section Lead (team oversight, policy creation, quality programs)

Requirements:

MD or DO; completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency

Board Certified in Anesthesiology

Active (or eligible) Alaska medical license

ACLS and PALS required; NRP and ATLS preferred

DEA certification required

Recent relevant experience and clean malpractice history

Skills & Attributes:

Skilled in both general and regional techniques

Culturally sensitive and adaptable to fast-paced environments

Works well independently and collaboratively

EMR: Epic
