🩺 Anesthesiology Locum Opportunity – Inpatient | California | Nights + Weekends Needed
Job description
A Level 3 Trauma Center in California is seeking two board-certified Anesthesiologists to join their team for ongoing locum coverage starting November 1, 2025. This is a great opportunity for providers who are comfortable with both day shifts and dedicated nights/weekends. Supportive onboarding process and collaborative physician group in place.
✅ Position Highlights
Flexible Mix of Shifts + Structured Transition to Nights
Must be willing to work nights and weekends. You'll begin with daytime shifts to train alongside other physicians before transitioning to night/weekend coverage. Shifts range from 8 to 12 hours with remote beeper call on weekends.
Diverse, High-Acuity Case Mix
Provide anesthesia for adult and pediatric patients, with exposure to general, trauma, OB, neuro, thoracic, complex ortho, vascular, and regional blocks. Must be comfortable with vent management, epidurals, central/arterial lines, and post-op pain techniques.
Epic EMR & Full Support Staff in Place
You'll work in a well-equipped inpatient hospital with full support staff and Epic EMR. Trauma Level 3 designation ensures a steady variety of case types and acuity levels.

📄 Credentialing: 90–120 days
🔒 Requirements
Board Certified in Anesthesiology
Active California license required (no IMLC)
Comfortable with complex and varied case types
