About the clinician's workday

This opportunity offers cross-credentialing across three sites and requires both generalists and specialty physicians. The schedule includes 24-hour in-house OB coverage, in-house trauma coverage on weekends with backup beeper call, and some additional weekend day shifts. Shifts vary and include 7.5-, 8-, 9-, 9.5-, 10-, 10.5-, 11.5-, 15.5-, and 24-hour options, with 14.5-hour shifts specific to pediatrics. Pediatric providers work general cases during the day, take pediatric call at night, and may also be called for pediatric cases during the day, so flexibility with both adult and pediatric patients is required. This role does not involve CRNAs and is 100% hands-on. Epic is used for charting. The case mix is highly diverse, including orthopedics, neurology, vascular, thoracic, GI, general surgery, gynecology, and spine, with sub-specialty cases in CV, pediatric CV, and pediatrics.
