Urology Physician – Locum Tenens

Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Urologist to provide locum coverage. This is a call-only assignment with inpatient responsibilities. Candidates must hold an active California license.

📅 Start Date: December 1, 2025
📅 End Date: April 1, 2026

Assignment Details:
Coverage Type: 24-hour call only (must be able to cover 7+ day stretches)
Call Response Time: 30 minutes required
Average: 4 phone consults/day, 3 patients seen/day, 2 admissions/day
EMR: Cerner
Support Staff: RN and office staff
Credentialing: 45–60 days

Schedule:
Dates: 12/1/25 – 4/1/26
Call only (24-hour shifts)
Rounding as needed, avg. 3–5 patients depending on volume

Compensation:
Pay Range: $2,800–$3,000/day
OT: 1.3x regular rate (if applicable)

Requirements:
Board Certification in Urology (fellowship preferred)
Active California medical license (required, no exceptions)
PALS certification
Experience across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations preferred
Comfortable with advanced urology procedures including laparoscopy, endoscopy, nephrectomies, prostatectomy, cystectomy, urologic oncology, pediatric cases, and robotics
