Job description

Aya Locums is seeking an Anesthesiologist to provide coverage at a hospital in Northern California. This opportunity offers flexibility with scheduling and the ability to work in a supportive environment with CRNA collaboration and general case coverage.

Assignment Details
• Contract Length: 26+ weeks
• Schedule: Full-time preferred (2 weeks/month ideal, will consider 1 week/month)

Work Details
• Support Staff: CRNAs
• Patient Population: Adults and adolescents (13+)
• Department Description: Hospital OR coverage focusing primarily on general cases; occasional regional cases may occur
• EMR: EPIC
• Skills Required: Regional anesthesia skills strongly preferred but not required
• Case Structure: Predominantly solo work in the OR, occasionally overseeing CRNAs

Practice Setting
• Hospital

Requirements
• Board Certification: Required (will consider truly board-eligible candidates, especially if fellowship trained)
• State License: Active California medical license required
• DEA: Required
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS (must be AHA)
• Minimum Experience: At least 2 years of anesthesiology experience, including recent experience at tertiary care centers
