Job description

Anesthesiologist Opportunities near Anaheim, California
Start Date: As soon as credentialed ~45-60 days
Contract Length: 13 weeks; potential ongoing need

Schedule

Full‑time coverage required (40–50 hours per week)
Scheduled shifts only
No call
Day shifts preferred:

12‑hour shifts (6:30 AM–6:30 PM)
10‑hour or 8‑hour shifts considered


No weekends required unless mutually agreed


Practice Details

Hospital‑based anesthesia service
Medical direction model
Supervision of CRNAs
High‑acuity, busy acute care setting
Level I Trauma Center
Teaching hospital environment

Case Mix Includes:

Orthopedic surgery
General surgery
Gynecology
Neurosurgery
ENT
Vascular surgery
GI procedures
No pediatrics
No open heart cases

EMR: Epic
Support Staff: CRNAs

Clinical Scope

Supervision and medical direction of CRNAs
Vent management
Central lines
Arterial lines
PA catheters
Management of complex, high‑acuity surgical patients


Experience

Strong general anesthesia background required
Must be comfortable in a high‑acuity trauma environment
Recent experience at a Level I or Level II trauma center required (within last 2 years)


Requirements

Physician – Anesthesiology
Board Certified required
Active California medical license required (must be in hand; no licensing candidates)
Minimum of 2 years post‑training experience
Epic charting experience required


Medical Requirements

COVID‑19 vaccination per facility policy
Influenza vaccination
Standard hospital pre‑employment health requirements


Credentialing

Full hospital credentialing required
Early starts approved for qualified candidates
Provider must submit all documentation promptly
Credentialing reviews completed on a rolling basis
