Job description

Anesthesiologist Opportunity near Florida Panhandle Coast
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Contract Length: 26 weeks; potential extensions based on coverage needs

Schedule

Full‑time coverage, Monday–Friday
Scheduled shifts with on‑call requirement
Day shifts with staggered OR coverage

Weekday Coverage:

7:00 AM – 3:00 PM: OR / OB / Cath Lab / IR coverage
3:00 PM – 5:00 PM: OR / OB coverage
5:00 PM – 7:00 PM: OR / OB coverage
Overnight: Backup call coverage

Weekend Coverage:


Backup call coverage required (Saturday–Sunday)


Orientation required prior to start



Practice Details

Hospital‑based anesthesia service
Medical direction and supervision model
Combination of supervised and solo cases for MDs
CRNAs are fully medically directed
Not a trauma center
Labor epidurals performed by CRNAs and physicians

Case Mix Includes:

Endoscopy
ENT
Gynecology
Interventional Radiology
Total joints
Plastics
Podiatry
Spine
Urology

EMR: Cerner

Clinical Scope

Medical direction and supervision of CRNAs
Personally performed anesthesia cases (limited portion)
OR, OB, Cath Lab, and IR coverage
Backup call responsibilities
Oversight of labor epidural services


Experience

Strong general anesthesia experience required
Comfort with medical direction and supervision model
Recent active case experience required
24 months of case logs required for credentialing


Requirements

Position: Physician – Anesthesiology
Board Certified in Anesthesiology required
Active Florida medical license required (must be in hand)
DEA required
ACLS, BLS, and PALS (AHA) required
Cerner charting experience required
Providers must reside more than 60 minutes from the facility


Medical Requirements

Standard pre‑employment health requirements
TB testing required
Vaccinations per facility policy


Credentialing

Full hospital credentialing required
Orientation attendance required prior to start
Providers must submit complete documentation promptly
Credentialing reviews completed on a rolling basis
