Anesthesiologist – Ongoing Locum Opportunity in Quincy, IL

Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist to join a well-established team in Quincy, IL. This is an ongoing locum opportunity at a 140-bed hospital with a busy surgical schedule and a supportive care team.
Assignment Details:
• Contract Length: Ongoing
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (8-hour shifts with unpaid lunch)
• Perks: Free hot lunch provided daily
• Call: None
Practice Setting:
• 140-bed hospital and ambulatory surgery center
• 9 operating rooms
• Average of 60 cases/day across both facilities
• EMR: Allscripts (transitioning to Epic in 2026)
Clinical Details:
• Care Team Model: Typically 3 CRNAs per 1 MD
• Supported by Anesthesia Techs for larger cases
• Case Types: Ortho, general surgery, OB, ENT, neuro, trauma (Level II), peds (low acuity only), plastics, endoscopy, urology/cystos
• No Cardiac, No PICU, No NICU
• Patient Population: All ages; pediatric patients are relatively healthy and higher acuity cases are transported out
Requirements:
• Board Certification in Anesthesiology
• Active IL license or IMLC
• Supervision Required
• Credentialing Timeline: 6–8 weeks from submission of a completed file
