Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist Opportunity – Illinois

Job description

Position Overview:

Location: Illinois – two nearby sites

Schedule: 7a until cases are complete

Site A: 7a–3p (5 ORs) / 3p–5p (4 ORs) / 5p–7p (1 OR)

Site B: 7a–3p (5 ORs) / 3p–5p (3 ORs)

Coverage Model: Combination of supervision and independent cases

Team Structure: 3 MDs and 10 CRNAs during the day

EMR: Epic

Case Mix:

Both Sites: Pediatrics, General, Ortho, Urology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, and Podiatry

Site A: Cardiac, Endoscopy, Vascular

Site B: GYN, Pain Management

Must be proficient with spinals, epidurals, and regional blocks (proof via caselogs required)

Requirements:

Certification: Board Certified (no Board Eligible)

Licensure: Active state medical license

Certifications: AHA ACLS required

Experience: Cardiac/TEE experience preferred but not mandatory

Caselogs: Must include documentation of epidurals, spinals, and blocks

Vaccination: COVID vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)

Call Structure:

MDs take OR call (Site A)

CRNAs take OB call (Site B)

Credentialing:

Typical timeframe: 60–90 days

• Full-time schedule; completion-based workdays
• Mix of supervision and hands-on cases
