Anesthesiologist Opportunity in Plattsburgh, NY | $400/hr + Travel & Lodging

Job description

We're actively recruiting Anesthesiologists for a locum assignment at a high-volume hospital in Plattsburgh, NY within the University of Vermont Health Network. This opportunity offers competitive compensation, flexible scheduling, and the ability to provide full-scope OR and OB anesthesia care in a supportive, team-based environment.

Position Highlights:
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM + Call
Call required (OB included); must be within 15 minutes of site
Preference for Monday–Thursday with some Friday–Sunday call
Looking for 2–3 providers to rotate 2–3 weeks at a time
Credentialing: Temps available for clean files
Licensure: Must have active NY license and clean background

Compensation:
$400/hr + Travel & Lodging
Malpractice with tail coverage included

Clinical Details:
100% OR & OB anesthesia (no clinic work)
4–5 cases per day
Bread-and-butter cases including:
General Surgery, Ortho, ENT, GI, GYN, Urology, Plastics, Colorectal, Vascular
OB volume: approx. 700–800 deliveries annually
Regional blocks required for OR cases
Peds optional – healthy children only
No cardiac, cranial, or neuro cases
EPIC EMR system

Team Structure:
Join a mid-sized group of ~15 Anesthesiologists
2 CRNAs, Anesthesia Techs, and full OR support staff
Rare CRNA supervision
Level III Trauma (ACS-verified)

Requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible
ACLS required
Strong preference for those with OB and regional block experience
Clean file with no malpractice or work gaps preferred for temps
