Anesthesiologists Needed in Plattsburgh, New York

Start Date: As soon as credentialed (temp privileges available for clean files)

Duration: Ongoing until permanent replacements are secured

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00a–3:30p + call as scheduled

Call: Required — must be within 15 minutes of the facility

Setting: 100% OR and L&D; no clinic work

Caseload: 4–5 surgical cases per day

Deliveries: ~700–800 per year

ORs: 9 main operating rooms

Trauma Level: III (ACS verified)

EMR: Epic

Case Mix

Required: Bread and butter surgery, OB anesthesia

Preferred: OB/Gyn, Orthopedic, General Surgery, Plastic, Vascular, Colorectal, ENT, GI, Urology

Excluded: No CT, Neuro, or Cranial cases

Regional Blocks: Yes (for OR cases only)

Pediatrics: Healthy pediatric patients only; no high-risk peds

Team & Environment

Approximately 15 Anesthesiologists, including per diems

Support staff includes CRNAs (2), anesthesia techs, PAs, nurses, OR techs, and management

Mid-sized, collegial group environment

May rarely supervise a CRNA

Requirements

Board Certification: BC or BE in Anesthesiology

Experience: Strong OB anesthesia experience required

Certifications: ACLS and MMR

Licensure: Active NY license (temp privileges available for clean files)
