RATE: $420/hr

HOUSING & TRAVEL STIPENDS:

CHARTING SYSTEM: Epic, iPro

SCHEDULE & SHIFTS

Day Shift: 8–10 hours

Pager Call: Weeknights & Weekends

No 12, 16, or 24-hour shifts

Holiday shifts preferred but not required

No overtime expected

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking Board-Certified Anesthesiologists for a locum tenens assignment at a new site in Dunkirk, NY. This role focuses on general and orthopedic anesthesia, assisting with cases alongside CRNAs and performing independent cases when on call.

Case Types: General, Orthopedic

MD to CRNA Ratio: 1:4 (MDs supervise CRNAs)

Privileges: Temporary (30–60 days)

Estimated Privileging Time: 45 days


RESPONSIBILITIES

Pre-anesthesia patient assessment and obtaining/verifying consent

Discussing anesthetic options and risks with patients

Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia

Monitoring physiological status during procedures

Performing clinical interventions as needed

Assisting in coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department

REQUIREMENTS

M.D. or D.O. from an accredited college of medicine

Completion of approved Anesthesia Residency

Board certification or fellowship required

Current state medical license (candidates must already have)

ECFMG/FLEX as applicable

• Rate: $420/hour
• Day Shift: 8–10 hours
