Anesthesiologist Opportunity – Burlington, NC
Job description
Start Date: January 2026 (for clean, licensed providers)
Duration: 6 months with option to extend
Schedule: 8s, 10s, and 12s – 40-hour workweek guaranteed
Call: Weeknights 3p–7a | Weekends 7a–7a
Two CRNAs and one MD on call nightly/weekends
Setting: Hospital and outpatient surgery center
Anesthesia Model: Medical Supervision
Cases Include:
General, Vascular, Neuro, OB/GYN (~1,000 deliveries/year), Urology
Healthy Pediatric Dental & ENT, ENT, Cataracts, Ortho (no totals), Endoscopy
Must be proficient in healthy pediatric dental and ENT cases
EMR: Epic
Credentialing: 30–60 days (Temporary privileges available for clean files)
Compensation & Benefits:
Rate: $330–$350/hr + Travel & Lodging
Call Pay: $500 weeknights | $1,500 weekends
OT/Callback: +$15/hr
Mileage reimbursement for local providers
Medical Malpractice Insurance: Provided
Requirements:
Board Certified/Board Eligible Anesthesiologist (MD/DO)
Active North Carolina license (or in process)
BLS & ACLS certifications
Must be comfortable floating between multiple nearby facilities
Must be proficient with regional blocks and pediatric ENT/dental cases
Pre-start documentation & screenings (within 40 days):
10-panel drug screen (including THC)
Tdap (one dose since age 12)
QFG or T-Spot (within 6 months)
MMR & Varicella (2 doses or positive titers)
Hep B series + titer (declination accepted with signed form)
N-95 fit test or CAPR training (provided)
Color vision screen (on-site if needed)
Seasonal flu (required Sept–March)
COVID vaccine not required; religious/medical exemptions accepted
