Anesthesiologist Needed in Asheville, NC

Job description

Job Title: Anesthesiologist – Nocturnist – Locum Tenens
Location: Asheville, NC
Duration: Ongoing (initial 6 months, possibly longer)
Schedule:
Night shift only – true nocturnist required
5:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Coverage needed every day of the week
General anesthesia shifts include 8s, 10s, and 12s (no call)

On-Call Requirements: No Call
Board Certification Required: Yes (Board Eligible or Board Certified)
Setting: Acute Care Hospital
Patient Population: Primarily Adults (very limited pediatrics)
EMR: Cerner and AIMS
Support Staff: Care Team Model with 1 MD supervising 3–4 CRNAs
Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days (ASAP)
Procedures Include:
General anesthesia
Orthopedic cases
OB anesthesia
Trauma and stroke center coverage
Urology, GYN, endoscopy, robotics
Neuro and spine (no craniotomies)
Vascular possible
Peripheral nerve blocks required
Busy OB service
No transplants or cardiac anesthesia
Average daily CV cases: 10–15
High overall surgical volume
