General Anesthesiologists Needed in Western North Carolina
Job description
A hospital-based anesthesia program in Western North Carolina is seeking three General Anesthesiologists for an ongoing locum tenens assignment.
Providers may choose from 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts. No call coverage is required. The facility has a high-volume and diverse case mix that includes general surgery, busy obstetrics, trauma, vascular, neurological, urology, orthopedic, and stroke-related cases.
Anesthesiologists must be comfortable performing peripheral nerve blocks. The facility operates under a care-team model, generally using a ratio of one anesthesiologist supervising three to four CRNAs. Physicians may also perform their own cases when preferred.
Candidates must have an active North Carolina medical license, at least two years of recent experience, and be board-certified or board-eligible in Anesthesiology.
The facility uses Cerner and AIMS for electronic documentation. Credentialing is expected to take approximately 60–90 days. Local providers who do not require travel and lodging assistance may receive preference.
