Job description

Aya Locums is seeking an Anesthesiologist for a locum assignment at a high-acuity tertiary care hospital in Central Oklahoma.

Assignment Details
• Start Date: August 2026
• Contract Length: Ongoing
• Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours
• Shift Details: 5 × 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Call Requirements: None
• Minimum Availability: At least 1 week per month required; 2+ weeks per month strongly preferred

Work Details
• Support Staff: Anesthesia technicians, CRNAs, and residents
• Care Model: Medical direction model (80–90% supervision; 10–20% solo cases)
• Responsibilities: Supervision of CRNAs and possible supervision of residents; independent case management as needed
• Case Mix: Adult anesthesia across a wide range of surgical services
• Exclusions: No cardiac or OB cases
• Post-Op Workflow: Patients transfer to PACU or ICU following procedures
• EMR: Epic

Requirements
• Board Certification: Required (ABMS or AOA)
• License: Willing to license
• Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS
• Experience: Must be comfortable supervising CRNAs and working in a high-acuity environment
• Additional Requirements: Clean background with no malpractice history
