Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist - 13-Week Contract in Brookeville, Pennsylvania.

Job description

Contract Length: 13 Weeks, with the option to extend
Shift Details: Monday through Friday, 8-10 hours per day
Schedule: Starting at 6:30 AM, working 8-10 hours daily

Work Details:

Support Staff: CRNAs at each location
Coverage Needed: Monday through Friday
Patient Volume: The average is 40 cases per day, including endoscopy. There are 4 anesthesiologists on-site daily and 15-18 CRNAs for shared supervision. Smaller facilities have a lower volume.
Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

Hospital Bed Sizes:
DuBois: 272 beds
Clearfield: 50 beds
Brookville: 35 beds
Elk: 163 beds
Skills Required: Bread and Butter General Anesthesia, ENT, GYN, OB (at DuBois only), plastics, endoscopy, urology, orthopedics, vascular, neuro, and thoracic. DuBois handles trauma cases and requires experience with heads, hearts, and OB. The other hospitals do not handle these cases.

State License: Pennsylvania license required (IMLC considered for outstanding candidates)
DEA: Required
CSR: Not required
Certifications: BLS and ACLS required
Experience: Minimum of 2 years required
Credentialing Timeframe: 2-3 weeks for limited malpractice/background issues; 60-90 days for full privileges.
