Anesthesiologist Needed – Williamsport, PA

Location: Williamsport, PA

Position: Full-Time Anesthesiologist – General, Cardiac, OB & Pediatrics

Position Details

Start Date: As soon as privileges are granted (ASAP)

Commitment: Minimum 3 months (ongoing opportunity)

Schedule: Full-time | 6:30 AM start | 9-hour shifts (occasional longer shifts)

Call: Yes – supervisory 24-hour call (in-house and backup provider)

Average Call Volume: 1 delivery and 3 hours of cases after 7 PM

Credentialing Timeframe: ~90 days (temps available)

EMR: Cerner

Practice Details

Model: Anesthesia Directed (supervisory 99% of time)

Team: 9 MDs on-site supervising CRNAs

Case Types: General, Cardiac, OB, and Pediatrics

Annual Case Volumes:

330 C-sections per year

300 cardiac cases per year

40 OR cases daily

30 GI cases daily

18 total anesthesia locations per day

Blocks: Performs basic ortho blocks (may expand in future)

Patient Population: 90% adult, 10% pediatric

Requirements

Licensure: Active PA license or IMLC (must have at time of presentation)

Certifications: BC/BE in Anesthesiology, ACLS, BLS, PALS

Cardiac Experience:

Must be anesthesiologist-trained and experienced in cardiac anesthesia

TEE certification not required but highly recommended

Must have recent (within 2 years) hands-on experience in cardiac cases including bypass, TEE, and open-heart surgeries

Board Eligibility: Within 3 years of residency completion

New Grads: Accepted if Board Certified

Call Participation: Must be willing to take call in addition to regular weekday shifts

Compensation & Logistics

Hourly Rate: $380/hour
