Responsibilities

Direct and coordinate anesthesia department activities

Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments

Obtain and verify informed patient consent

Discuss anesthetic options and associated risks

Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia

Continuous physiologic monitoring and clinical intervention as needed

Requirements

MD or DO from an accredited medical school

Completion of an ACGME-approved Anesthesiology Residency

ECFMG and FLEX (as applicable)

Current, unrestricted physician license required

Must be comfortable with cardiovascular anesthesia and nerve blocks
