General Anesthesiologist – Houston, TX Area (Pasadena)
Rate: $300/hr + mileage & lodging

Assignment Overview:

Location: Pasadena, TX – 14 miles SE of downtown Houston

Facility: Community hospital setting

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40-hour workweek

Day shifts: 6:30am start, 10–12 hour shifts

Weeknight call: 6:30am–7:00am next day (from home after 7pm)

Weekend call: 24-hour 1st and backup call (from home if no cases)

Weekend day shifts may also be available

Call Pay:

Weeknight Call: $900/night

Weekend Call: $2,000/24-hour shift

Backup 24-hour Call: $900

OT/Callback: $350/hr

Case Types:

General, Ortho, OB, Neuro (including Spine & Cranis), Endo, Urology, Gyn

Must be comfortable with Neuro Spine and Craniotomies

Healthy peds cases on rare occasions (e.g., BMT or tonsils for 18 months old)

Patient age range: 18 months to 80+ years

Practice Model & Details:

MDs supervise CRNAs and also do their own cases

On-call MDs work solo

Staffing: 2 General MDs + 1 CV MD + 8 CRNAs

EMR: Meditech + sharable forms (iPad-based paper charting)

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required

TX license required

New grads accepted

Credentialing:

Timeline: 60–90 days

Temp privileges only available for providers giving substantial coverage

Minimum Commitment:

Not accepting 1-week assignments

Will consider providers for 2 weeks/month
