Job Details
A hospital in southern Texas is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist for a mix of short-term and full-time locum tenens coverage. Call is rotational, with a shared model between MDs throughout the week.
Schedule Details:
• Partial coverage: Oct 4–5, Dec 13–14, Dec 27–28
• Full-time locum start: January 2026
• Call Rotation:
– Week A: Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat–Sun
– Week B: Tues, Thurs
• On-call MD supervises CRNAs until ~11p, then transitions to solo beeper call until 7a
• When not on call, MD functions in the OR
Case Types:
• Neuro
• General
• ENT
• Urology
• Orthopedics
• Trauma – designated trauma team in place
Support Structure:
• CRNA team coverage
• On-call supervision until 11p; MD solo overnight
• Collaborative team-based environment
Requirements:
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• TX medical license preferred – IMLC accepted
• BLS and ACLS (AHA)
• Comfortable handling a wide variety of acute and trauma-related cases
