Cardiovascular Anesthesiologist Needed – Kingwood, TX

Start Date: January 1
Duration: Ongoing (initial 3–6 month commitment preferred, with potential to extend)
Reason for Need: New anesthesia group going live January 1

Position Overview

The facility is a Level II Trauma Center, providing a dynamic and high-acuity environment for cardiac anesthesia coverage.

Schedule & Call

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., followed by call

Call Requirements:

Weeknight Call: 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. (or possibly 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.)

Weekend Call: 24-hour coverage on Saturday and Sunday

CV anesthesiologists will perform their own cases when on call

The client is assembling coverage with multiple physicians as needed

Team & Model

Daily Staffing: 4 anesthesiologists (3 general + 1 CV) with 14 CRNAs

Total Team: 8 anesthesiologists and 18 CRNAs

Model: Care team model; CV anesthesiologist will perform their own cases

Requirements

Active Texas medical license

ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required

CV fellowship is a plus but not mandatory

Minimum experience: TBD

EMR system: TBD

Compensation

Regular Hourly Rate: $360 + travel and lodging covered

Callback/OT Rate: $410/hour

Holiday Rate (January 1): $410/hour

Weeknight Beeper Call: $900

Weekend Beeper Call: $1,600 per 24-hour shift

Travel & Lodging: Mileage reimbursement or rental car, lodging, and roundtrip flight provided as needed

Credentialing

Estimated timeframe: within 8 weeks
